The Brief: Create an engaging and unconventional panel discussion that challenges traditional formats and resonates with underrepresented voices in the creative industries.

My Role: Co-Founder, Head of Marketing & Creative

Objectives:

  • Elevate the conversation by focusing on diverse perspectives within the creative community.

  • Foster a space for candid dialogue and actionable insights that attendees can apply in their careers.

  • Attract and engage creatives, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders across various industries.

Key Challenges:

  • Differentiating the panel from typical industry events and ensuring it stands out in a crowded marketplace.

  • Securing high-caliber speakers who align with the event’s mission of inclusivity and innovation.

  • Balancing the need for meaningful content with the expectation of a dynamic and engaging format.

My Actions:

  • Event Conceptualization & Programming: Developed the concept for an innovative panel format that breaks away from the traditional Q&A structure, incorporating interactive elements and real-time audience participation.

  • Speaker Outreach & Curation: Identified and secured influential speakers from diverse backgrounds, ensuring the panel represented a wide range of voices and experiences within the creative sector.

  • Comprehensive Marketing Campaign: Designed and implemented a marketing strategy that leveraged social media, email campaigns, and influencer partnerships to generate buzz and drive attendance.

  • Creative Direction & Branding: Led the creation of all branding and marketing materials, including promotional graphics, event signage, and digital content, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual identity.

  • Partnership Development: Negotiated and secured strategic partnerships with industry organizations and media outlets, enhancing the event’s visibility and credibility.

The Result:

  • Successfully attracted an audience of over 400 RSVPS, 109 attendees, with a strong turnout from key industry stakeholders and influencers.

  • Generated significant social media engagement, with 6k+ social media impressions, amplifying the event’s impact and reach.

  • Secured a post-event partnerships with Shopify and collaborations, establishing the panel as a catalyst for ongoing industry dialogue.

  • Received positive feedback from attendees and speakers, with many expressing interest in future events and panels.

  • Positioned "Not Your Average Panel" as a leading event series known for its innovative approach and commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.
